i don't really know what a proper happy birthday would be. i've sat here for the past twenty minutes, writing and erasing everything that i've thought out. so i'll just say it out right:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOMMA.

i love you just as much as i did the day you had me. our connection has never ceased; never changed, and it never will. it would've been 40 years going today ... but ahh, thirty seven is still an accomplishment. everyone misses you.
